10 Years of Excellence
It has been 10 years since ADTECH GmbH was founded in Frankfurt, Germany with the simple, yet virtually untested idea of filling advertising space on websites via Adservers – no one could have ever imagined how successful the company has become!
10 Years of ExcellenceADTECH’s success is the result of long-term hard work, commitment and technology excellence. During its first phase, ADTECH’s creators concentrated on creating the infrastructure to support the planned Adserving objectives. To this end, the first computer center went online in Frankfurt in the summer of 1998.
Over the next few years, ADTECH developed slowly and grew steadily. In 2000, the company was converted to a public limited company, ADTECH AG where its “break-even point” was achieved one year later.

The number of customers and employees soon grew all over Europe, as did the requests for an independent Adserving solution. Therefore, ADTECH established numerous sales offices from London, via Stockholm to Paris offering customers important local support for local requirements.
Helios IQ, ADTECH’s Ad Management technology, was successfully launched in 2005. Its clean user friendly interface, with numerous wizards and automatic features amazed the industry.
Since 2006, ADTECH has grown into new markets and is presently on all five continents. Furthermore, the leap across the Atlantic Ocean means the company is returning to its roots. The company has also established relationships with an important partner in the United States – Time Warner Media Group which acquired ADTECH in 2007.
Shortly thereafter, ADTECH presented its integrated solution for display, video and mobile ads. The interaction between market observations and implementation of customer requirements is the best proof of ADTECH’s secure future and its key to success.
ADTECH currently has 350 active customers, and has doubled the number of its employees. In 2008, ADTECH’s newest challenge is to further establish itself in the United States. As an independent unit of Platform A, ADTECH is well positioned to expand and develop a range of digital advertising products.

ADTECH is always on the move and constantly adapting itself to market demands proving that this company has long been much more than just a banner supplier.

In 2008, ADTECH completed its corporate management team. The company is now managed by: Dirk Freytag (CEO), Erhard Neumann (COO) and Mark Thielen (CTO).
