[ Director of Sales (New York) ]

to work in our New York office.

THE POSITION


Join one of the most successful ad serving firms globally and help us with our successful expansion to the US. ADTECH is seeking a Director of Sales to work in our New York office.

 

Position Purpose:
The Director of Sales is responsible for the sale of the ADTECH’s technology in the Americas. This individual will be involved in the development of relationships, scheduling of appearances, and the building of rapport with potential clients. He or she manages all personnel matters in the sales team, including recruiting, career development, resource planning, budget, and compensation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level direct client contact with publishers, advertising networks and advertising agencies in Region.
  • Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining accounts.
  • Guide the development of client/prospect sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior level executives of the region’s most important and strategic clients and prospects
  • Hire, train, develop and manage sales staff of around 10 people
  • Provide a motivating environment for sales staff
  • Develop and enhance ADTECH’s reputation in the region as the leading source of integrated ad management
  • Represent the Company at industry trade associations and events
  • Perform other job-related duties and activities as requested.

YOUR PROFILE


Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and advertising/internet media including trade associations and competitors.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and customer service skills. Exchanges information with others clearly and concisely.
  • Thorough knowledge of PC applications and Internet.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to keep abreast of emerging technology.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers.
  • Ability to maintain group priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a highly competitive and dynamic sales environment
  • Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount.
  • Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external).
  • Ability to meet attendance standards and work long hours when necessary.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, OR
  • 10 years sales experience and 5 + years advertising/internet media experience preferred,
  • 5 + years experience in technology sales desired
  • 5 + years experience working for or with publishers desired
  • Or relevant combination of education and experience.
